Upon studying my Pinterest board in detail with
Rianna, I really wanted to discover what it was about my collected imagery that
I liked and why I liked it. We noticed that I had collected a number of images
of concrete. Realising that the cold, cool, minimal colour and aesthetic of the
concrete was something that attracted me to these images led me to create my
own mini concrete sculptures. I wanted something that encased items and
revealed selected sections of these items. On reflection, I feel this process
does not work for me; I wanted something cleaner and more concise. To develop
this further I could create these sculptures on a larger scale however feel
that this process is no longer something I wish to explore.
