Upon further investigation into my current
concept, I have developed a wanting to explore the idea of dimensions. This was
when I discovered work by Adi Goodrich, an Art Director and Set Designer (see
below). Her work is relevant to this project as Art Direction is an avenue in
which I would like to explore and develop within my own practice, especially
after my time interning for Rianna Phillips. The use of simple 3D shapes would
add a change in dynamic to my current concept. To further develop this idea I
plan to use a new feature on Adobe Photoshop CC 2014, the 3D feature. Using
this software to explore and experiment to develop new techniques and a new
aesthetic within my work. I would then hope for this new knowledge to lead to
3D printing later in the unit. This development has allowed the direction of my
concept to change, which I felt my project needed.
