I found Leanne Pollider’s ‘Technomicry’ piece when exploring
Patternity’s blog. The vibrant use of colour and reflection of technology links
well with my own work, specifically the glitch inspired prints that I have been
working on. The use of scale within her print and the hypnotic use of virtual
language inspire me to experiment with the scale and placement of my own work.
I have selected a print from my own collection inspired by glitch formed from
technology. I feel that this print best relates to the work of Pollider's,
although the colours within my prints are much more vibrant, however the vibrancy
of my prints works well with my sports inspired concept. I also appreciate the
way that Pollinder’s photography has been styled, confusing the audience with
the same print in the background. I will consider this when styling my own
photo shoot for my look book in Unit X.
