Textiles Federation have collaborated with ASOS,
the brief is 'Chinese Whispers' and asks us to create prints that ASOS can
develop into garments to sell on their website. The key points they want us to
consider when designing are;
Sliced and diced
Butterflies
Blooms and blossom
Raw edges
These key phrases acted as initial starting
points for my design process; I began to put together inspiration of key
imagery to push forward my designs. As I do not usually draw florals I felt
that I wanted to explore this. Although the designs do not conform strictly to
the design brief I am pleased with what I produced as it is out of my comfort
zone. The designs do not act as a collection therefore my colour selection is
varied.
